The Multigauge 6000 UT Drone Thickness Gauge has been specifically designed to mount onto drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). The measurements are transmitted wirelessly in real time to a PC or laptop up to 500 metres away. The lightweight drone thickness gauge is also supplied with a plastic probe to further reduce weight.
The Tritex Multigauge 6000 Drone Thickness Gauge is the first commercially available dedicated thickness gauge for mounting onto a drone, developed over many years with lots of successful installations. It has been designed for easy integration, wirelessly transmitting accurate measurements, not including the coatings, up to 500m away. These are displayed on a dedicated software, called Communicator, where readings can be stored in a grid or string format, which is entirely customizable. The gauge is supplied with a lightweight plastic probe and optional probe holder and wet gel dispenser, controlled wirelessly through Communicator software, to accurately apply gel to the face of the probe when required.
Multiple Echo technology ignores coatings up to 6mm thick, therefore just the metal substrate is measured. All probes have Intelligent Probe Recognition (IPR), which automatically adjusts settings in the gauge at the same time as transmitting recognition data – the result is a perfectly matched probe and gauge for enhanced performance. Additionally, the Automatic Measurement Verification System (AMVS) ensures only true measurements are displayed, even on the most heavily corroded metals.

COMMUNICATOR SOFTWARE
Tritex Communicator software is a dedicated datalogging software for use with all gauges in the Tritex range which have datalogging capabilities.
Tritex Communicator software displays live measurement results from either the Multigauge 3000 Underwater ultrasonic thickness testers or the Multigauge 4000 series ROV ultrasonic thickness testers onto either a laptop or PC. It is also used with the Multigauge 5700, Multigauge 5350, and Multigauge 5750 ultrasonic thickness testers.
Templates can be preset based on a grid, string of measurements or a combination of both. This gives maximum versatility for a wide range of applications including measurements on pipelines, pilings or ship hulls.
As well as storing measurement data, Communicator software also has the option to store the time, date and an identifying label for each measurement. In addition, various settings within either gauge can be changed from the software to optimise performance.
The stored data is saved in a standard TXT format allowing importation into standard analysing programs.
It also remotely displays measurements from surface gauges up to 1000m away.
- Displays real time measurements from the Multigauge 3000, Multigauge 4000 and Multigauge 5700 ultrasonic thickness testers
- Remotely displays measurements from surface gauges up to 1000m away
- Easy to install and very user friendly
- Datalogging with grid or string templates, or a combination of both
- Bi-directional to allow settings in the gauge to be changed when used with the Multigauge 3000 or Multigauge 4000 underwater gauges
- Accepts RS232 or RS422 input
- Time, date and a label can be added to each measurement value
- Common output interface (.txt)
- Easy to use wizards for templete programming
