Apator Powogaz Ultrasonic Water Meters
ULTRIMIS W - ULTRASONIC WATER METER
Our ultrasonic water meters have been designed and manufactured according to the highest quality standards, where we also ensure that none of the materials in contact with water contain heavy metals (composite body). The standard version of these water meters is fully waterproof and IP680-compliant. The structure of the measurement chamber also makes them resistant to hydrodynamic impact. Our product range includes ultrasonic water meters of different total lengths, including some of the smallest and lightest meters on the market. Our W-Sonic Technology ensures full resistance to magnetic forces and allows indications within the R800 range, with a starting flow of 0.75 l (diameter DN15).
High-quality Ultrimis W ultrasonic water meters
The Ultrimis W is an ultrasonic water meter with many patented design and technological features, such as the proprietary “W-Sonic Technology” ultrasonic measuring method. None of the materials in contact with water used for the construction of this meter contain heavy metals. The standard version of this water meter is fully waterproof. The innovative structure makes our product arguably the lightest and smallest ultrasonic water meter available to our customers.
Use
Our ultrasonic water meters measure the flow and volume of water up to a max. temperature of 50°C using a closed-loop system, with the full flow rates up to a max. pressure of 16 bar (PN16). This is important, especially when precision measurement of water consumption and the application of modern communication technologies are required, including NFC and radio reading systems. The water meters feature an e-display (IP68); may be installed in any orientation (H, V, H/V) and do not require the use of U0D0 straight sections, filters or check valves.
Measurement range (MID):
- Cold water R250, R400 or R800.

W-Sonic Technology
The Ultrimis W meter features a measurement method based on a unique ultrasonic beam path (W-Sonic) through the measurement chamber, ensuring indicator stability across the entire measurement range. The distinctive characteristics of this technology are:
- The ability to design a water meter of a considerably shorter length than with other ultrasonic beam paths
- No covers in the flow sectional view
- No impact of impurities on the measurement
- The use of an e-system to monitor the ultrasonic beam parameters, hence compensating for ageing of the piezo elements
- No need to use additional equipment for the water meter, such as a strainer or check valve
Ultrimis W characteristics:
- Structure of the measurement chamber: flow-through, without moving elements, resistant to impurities, no outlays on inspections or maintenance works
- No need to use straight sections upstream or downstream of the water meter
- Small dimensions, probably the smallest and lightest ultrasonic water meters on the market
- Very low energy consumption
- Very low lithium content – Li < 1.5 g for 2xAA
- Maximum design battery life of 16 years (depending on the configuration and environmental conditions)
- No heavy metals in the materials in contact with potable water (composite body)
- Very low weight = low CO2 emission, low transport cost
- Hermetic housing for the water meter – IP68 as standard
- Maximum flow limited only by pressure loss
- No wear of the measurement chamber elements during continuous operation even for high flows
- Pressure – 16 bar
- Resistant to strong magnetic fields
- Resistant to hydrodynamic impact
- Highly resistant to overload flow rates – Q4, option of exceeding the overload flow rate
- Measurement stability regardless of the soiling of the measurement system elements during operation (dedicated e-system to monitor the ultrasonic beam parameters, hence compensating for ageing of the piezo elements)
- Reverse flow measurement
