Magnetometer NOVOTEST MF-1M
Magnetometer NOVOTEST MF-1M is designed to control the residual magnetization and study the magnetic heterogeneity of the surface of ferromagnetic products, to control the level of residual magnetization before welding gas and oil pipes, to control the induction of static (DC), alternating (AC) and pulsed magnetic fields generated by various magnetic and electromagnetic devices, such as magnetic particle flaw detectors, magnetic tables and chucks of grinding machines, demagnetizing devices, permanent magnets etc.
Main advantages and functions of Magnetometer NOVOTEST MF-1M:
STATIC (DC) MAGNETIC FIELD
The main purpose of the device is to measure the parameters of a static magnetic field – intensity (induction), as well as its gradient. Using a transverse probe, the user can measure the residual magnetization of the material after magnetic particle inspection, the level of the magnetic component of industrial interference, as well as the magnetic induction of a variety of devices, components and products.
ALTERNATING (AC) AND PULSED MAGNETIC FIELDS
The device allows user to measure the parameters of an alternating magnetic field – values of intensity (induction), as well as the parameters of single pulses of a magnetic field – peak values of intensity (induction).
UNITS OF MEASUREMENT
The magnetometer can display the measured value in units of Ampere/Centimeter (A/cm), Gauss (Gs) and Tesla (mT). That is why sometimes such devices are called Teslameters or Gaussmeter gauges. Also in the device there is a conditional CODE scale, which allows user to assess the change in the magnetic fields of without reference to the scale.
THRESHOLD EXCEEDANCE ALARM FUNCTION
The device has the function of displaying the signal like a graph, which allows the user to monitor the change in the magnetic field strength by scanning the product. Also, in this operating mode, the user can set thresholds for the limiting values of the measured parameters, when the grapf break this threshold the device emits a signal.
VARIOUS PROBES
The device can be equipped with probes for operation in different ranges (± 100G, ± 1000G, ± 3000G), the narrower the range, the higher the measurement accuracy. The instrument is equipped with a transverse probe as standard, but axial probes can be made to order.
DESIGN
The device is sealed and can be used in conditions of high humidity, and the silicone case for the electronic unit makes the device shockproof. Also, the device is not demanding on the temperature of the operating environment, it is possible to use the device in the temperature range from -20 to + 40 ° C.
ARCHIVE OF MEASUREMENTS AND PC SOFTWARE
The device has the ability to create a measurement archive that can be transferred to a PC using special software.

Magnetic Flaw Detector (Magnetic Yoke) NOVOTEST MPD-DC
Magnetic Flaw Detector (Magnetic Yoke) NOVOTEST MPD-DC applies in circumstances where the electric equipment mustn’t be used or prohibited by the rules.
Device is used during magnetic particle inspection (where it is applicable) according to ASTM E 709, ASTM E 1444, ASME Section V Article 7 and MIL-STD-1949.
Magnetic Flaw Detector NOVOTEST MPD-DC is used to detect surface and subsurface cracks of all kinds (flake, lack of fusion welded joints, tears etc.) in structures made of ferromagnetic materials.
The device has two permanent magnets placed in a cylindrical shells, which are connected by a flexible magnetic wire, so it can be used for MPI of remote locations, corner welds and other products of various shapes and sizes.
Magnetic Flaw Detector NOVOTEST MPD-DC can be used in cases if user can not use electromagnets, when supply of power is difficult or restricted by rules of safety (during works at height; working in the field conditions; testing of internal surface of tanks, boilers; etc.) at operating temperature from 30 °C below zero to 50 °C above zero and relative humidity up to 95% at 35 °C .

Magnetic Test Samples
The test blocks are used for:
- quality comparison of different magnetic powders (particle solutions);
- quality assurance of magnetic powders while working with the testing bench;
- for quality analysis during the magnetic particle testing, also to check the correct dosing of magnetic powder in automatic testing.
MTU Test Block #3
The MTU test block #3 (is the reference block type 1 according to EN ISO 9934-2) is used to verify the indication sensitivity of magnetic particle crack detection agents.
The test block is a disk with two types (large and small) of natural cracks (in both sides).
The large cracks are sanding cracks and the small cracks are tension cracks.
The test block has been magnetized by use of the hole in the middle of the test block. The analys of the test block is made by comparison of the picture with the results of the test block with fluorescent magnetic powder and ultraviolet lamp.
